Welcome to my ePortfolio! My name is Mahi Patel, and I am in my last year at Union County Early College (UCEC) and South Piedmont Community College (SPCC). I came to both institutions when I was only 13 years old, utterly clueless about my interests and self-identity. The experiences I gained from UCEC and SPCC have shaped me into the person who will graduate from them in May 2023 with a High School Diploma and an Associate of Science degree.

Contrary to the quote and picture, I actually have a terrible sense of direction. I am not the type of person who can look at a road and immediately know that it is the one I need to choose to reach my destination. Driving down an unknown path makes me anxious, which also applies to my life. Yet, I prefer to do things while being scared rather than let fear hold me back. My goal is to have a career as a healthcare worker, and I am creating my own path that works best for me, which can sometimes be nerve-wracking. There are still hundreds of miles to go, but navigating South Piedmont has made me one step closer to my destination. The work showcased in this ePortfolio will give you a peek into how I’ve learned to navigate SPCC and its impact on my overall journey. Hope you enjoy learning a bit more about me!
